Well… depends how you look at it. If they are both aware of the act, it's meaning/purpose, and they both understand it, it's ok. They are intelligent and self-aware, I mean, you and who not, banged the Liara/Garrus/Tali/Thane in Mass Effect. Interspecies is ok, if they are both intelligent and understand the act itself.
