I'm just tired of people thinking that just because it's a fantasy game that women MUST look like sluts and any absence of bare midriff or cleavage is an offense punishable by death.

I doubt cleavage is going out of fashion any time soon, and it certainly hasn't gotten old yet.
BUT you aren't the first one with the opinion. I guess we guys could also complain the unnatural bull-neck bare chest muscle heaps that are everywhere in the fantasy games as the warrior/tank types… or that they all (usually) appear young. But I haven't much seen people complaining about it.
Alright, I take the whipping statement back. Choise is fine.

Cleavage is one thing on a character who's an archer, or a mage. On warrior-types it doesn't work as much.
And I agree with you on the male character bit.
Overly-bulky disproportionately large male characters bother me as well.
Though, I can't say that I see that very often. They're usually covered in heavy armor.
I just like proportionate characters who are dressed appropriately for their class is all. So if I'm playing as a female mage, I don't mind if she's got sex appeal.
They sure do wiggle.
I wonder to myself. How the hell do some of these "armor" pieces manage to stay on to the character. Superglue?

@Clouds23x lol better spend 10 hours making the perfect character for you, than making one > going to lvl up > few days later delete character to make a slightly different look =P friend of mine always does that in every game then we have to slow down so he catch up… he just can't spend the 10 hours first creating then playing so I would say you are on the safe side, don't be scared! XD

@LordLaseneph A taste in Eastern design most probably, it is not ruined at all. It is simply not best suited to many Western tastes.
Gameplay is awesome. I tested the Beta. It's action oriented and extremely satisfying.

I'm about to subscribe for one year into Age of Conan. Good idea or not?
AoC has amazing graphics, no point-and-click (combo moves), good setting, interesting classes (not versatile tough), player created cities (a little lame, since only guildies can enter them) and almost NO GRINDING. (korean unfriendly).
But economy is a mess, and its empty in pvp servers.
But what about TERA? What do you guys have seen so far?
BTW, I think everyone in this game will be creating female chars.
The girls in this game must give 1 hell of a lap dance.. like.. The best Lap dance you could ever get >.>

If I'm going to look at an avatar for a combined time of several days online, I'd want something hot to look at, that's why I always play female characters in MMOs.
.. But on the other hand, I also want my avatar to be a little more classy than a character focused around constantly bouncing tits and exposed of cleavage.
I might actually have played this game if it wasn't so vulgar.
I like human females better. Elf chicks are too thin and pale for my taste. Still pretty tho (:
